This Cookies Policy explains how LastRent Services Limited ("LastRent", "we", "our", or "us"), a subsidiary of Afrikcity Development Limited, uses cookies and similar technologies on the LastRent platform, available at www.lastrent.ng, and any related applications and services (collectively, the "Platform").

What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device when you visit it. They let a site remember things between page loads and visits — that you're signed in, or a preference you set. We also use similar technologies (like browser local storage) for the same purposes; this Policy refers to all of them collectively as "cookies".
Cookies We Use
We keep cookie use to what the Platform actually needs to work well and to understand how it's used:

We do not use cookies for third-party advertising, and we do not sell information collected via cookies.
Third-Party Cookies
A small number of cookies are set by services we rely on to run the Platform, not by LastRent directly:
- Google Analytics — sets analytics cookies to measure aggregate usage. See Google's own Privacy Policy for how it handles this data.
- Supabase — our authentication and database provider sets a session cookie so you stay signed in between visits.
- Paystack — when you make a payment (e.g. an inspection fee), Paystack's hosted checkout may set its own cookies to process that transaction securely. LastRent does not control these.
Managing Your Preferences
You have a few ways to control cookies:
- Browser settings — most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies from their privacy or security settings. Blocking essential cookies will likely stop you from being able to sign in or use the Platform properly.
- Google Analytics opt-out — install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to stop GA from collecting your data on any site, including ours.
- Do Not Track — we currently don't change our behaviour in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as there isn't yet a common standard for how sites should interpret them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy as our services, or the technologies and providers we use, change. If we make material changes, we'll notify registered users by email or an in-app notice before they take effect. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
